Getting negatives onto DVD?

I have just bought a CANOSCAN 4400F from ebay Italy at €78, this should cost less in £s or a little more in US$ if you are still looking for one, I figured it was worth it as it also works as a normal scanner and I can put other peoples negatives onto CD for a little extra cash to help pay off the scanner.

Have you tried it scanning negativs? And, if so, what's the resolution like?

I haven't recieved it yet, I only bought it yesterday, they say 2-3 days for delivery, so I am expecting it round wednesday. Once I have tried it I will let you know.

I recieved the scanner today, and scanned a couple of negatives, they have come out better than what I expected from what a guy at a photo shop here told me, I will upload a photo to the gallery for you to see how it worked out. If I have the option to add a title to the photo, I will call it Italy, but if not, it will have the title Beautiful sunset 1.
