    Re: Getting negatives onto DVD?

    Hey Webbie,
My hubby surprised me today with a present of an Ion Film2PC negative and slide scanner. It was on special at Maplin for £50. I have scanned a few old (as in 30 years +) B&W negatives and it seems to work really well. Definately cheaper than having them done at a photo shop!

    Thanks Flange.

I must really get my act together and get something as I've got some really good memory lane pics on negs where the actual photos have faded beyond recognition.

Does it take a long time?

    Hey Webbie,
The actual scanning takes a couple of seconds. Each strip of negatives needs to be put into the holder one at a time and manually fed through the scanner. It is a bit time-consuming - something to do while watching TV.

    I can live with that.
